Mail Server Downtime due to Hardware Maintenance

After the unexpected downtime of our mail server today around 15:30 we
will investigate some hardware issues on Thurday, 30th of August 2007
between 18:00 and 21:00. During that time the mail server will be
unreachable for sending mails (SMTP) as well for receiving (IMAP, POP)
or reading mails.

Mail Server Downtime due to Software Upgrade

On Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 between 18:00 and 21:00 we will
upgrade the mail server software ([1]Postfix) to a newer version.
During that time it may happen that mails cannot be sent over our mail
server (mail.phys.ethz.ch) and receiving mails will be delayed. We
suggest not to write mails from inside the Department during that
time.
