December at 17:00 we will start moving the home directories to an other server. This will take serveral hours, during which the home directories are limited to read only access. If everything works as expected this will be finished at around 22:00 and the home directories are accessible again. Update informations will be posted here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Again fileserver crash http://nic.phys.ethz.ch/news/1135253171 At around 12:00 the file server containing the home directories had again all nfsd processes in disk wait status. This forced us to reboot. Another disk was failing with a lot of errors, we replaced it. Currently the rebuilding of the RAID and the file system check is running. If everything works as expected, the server should be back online at around 14:15.
