------------------------------------------------------------------------ Maintenance on file servers and server gateway http://nic.phys.ethz.ch/news/1200494446 An upgrade of the operating system from Debian 3.1 to Debian 4.0 on the server gateway schilt will be done on: * Monday, January 21th 2008 between 19:00 and 22:00 During the gateway upgrade we will also apply security updates to the fileservers foostock, schibe, teutates and tamesis. Over the entire period access to the following services may be interupted: * home and group directories (winhome, machome, unixhome, windata, macdata, unixdata, astrodata) * print services * mail services * web services Please do not run any long running jobs during that time since the file servers won't be reliably reachable during that time. Ideally you shouldn't use any computer which relies on the mentioned services during this time.
