Quantum computing with microwave cat-states in cQED

Abstract: Continuous variable quantum computation, where information is

encoded in continuous rather than discrete degrees of freedom, is a topic that is attracting renewed interest. In this talk I will give a brief overview of some recent developments in circuit QED and I will discuss ideas for implementing a universal set of quantum logic gates on coherent state Schroedinger cat qubits stored in the cavity field of 3D Transmons.
