Hi all,
This Thursday, there will be an additional talk at 5pm in HIT K51 by Frédéric Dupuis. Title and abstract below.
Cheers, Roger
Title: The decoupling approach to quantum information theory revisited
Abstract: Many important theorems in quantum information theory can be proven in a particularly simple manner by showing that two quantum systems are "decoupled" (meaning that they are in a product state). In this talk, I will present a theorem that generalizes most of the methods that are used to show that two systems are decoupled. This yields simplified and more direct proofs of the correctness of many protocols.
