The ETH Zurich will be [1]officially closed between Saturday, 23rd of
December 2006 and Tuesday, 2nd of January 2007. During this time,
[2]we can only provide limited support. Please follow these rules to
save us from superfluous work:
* Switch off printers
* Switch off your personal workstation and notebook except for the
following:
* Do not switch off our managed Linux and MacOS X workstations.

Microsoft Security Bulletin for December 2006

Last night [1]Microsoft has released the [2]Security Bulletin Summary
for December, 2006. There are 3 critical and 4 important updates.
If Automatic Update is not activated yet, then you must visit

Network downtimes at the Department of Physics

During the week before christmas, the [1]Informatikdienste will do
software upgrades on many ETH routers. The [2]Department of Physics
will be affected by the upgrades in the HCI building on Wednesday,
20th of December 2006, 7am and the HPx buildings on Friday, 22nd of
December 2006, 7am. The downtimes will be around 15 minutes each.
Please don't use any of the computers during that time to avoid
problems afterwards.
