Web-based group calendar

In an attempt to meet various demands in this direction, we now
provide a web-based calendar solution that offers flexible group-ware
functionality to all members of D-PHYS. The webcalendar is available
at [1]https://webcal.phys.ethz.ch/. We also provide an introductory
tutorial [2]in our wiki.

Use your regular D-PHYS account to access the webcalendar.

Virtualization with VirtualBox

We are happy to announce the availability of the [1]VirtualBox
virtualization solution on all our managed Linux workstations
(including the [2]thin clients). If you would like to try the latest
BSD release or have a look at a special Linux distro, you might want
to give it a go.
