In the Linux kernel some [1]security holes have been found and [2]updates are available. This security hole applies to our setup as well, so we will need to reboot all client workstations on Monday morning, July 26.

[1]SuSE discovered a [2]problem in the [3]chown() system call of the [4]Linux [5]kernel. While all kernels of the [6]2.6 line are affected and should be upgraded, only kernels from the [7]2.4 line running the [8]kernel-nfs-server could be exploited. The fixes are in [9]2.6.7 and [10]2.4.27-rc3.
We will reboot our [11]servers during weekend and the [12]workstations on monday morning.
