Network maintenance Monday, 7. Nov.

On Monday, 7. November the network infrastructure will get a software
upgrade by the [1]ID/Kommunikation. Between 06:45 and 07:00 in the
morning, there will be a interuption of the network connectivity for
about 10 minutes.

forced reboot of new file server

Around 14:00 we where trying to fix some minor problems with the new
file server. This locked us the file system where the home directories
are in and then forced us to reboot. Currently there is a file system
check running.
If everythings works fine the server should be back online at 14:30.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

Migration home directories

On Thursday, 27. 0ctober at 20:00 we will start moving the home
directories to an other server. This will take serveral hours, during
which we have do disable access to the home directories. If everything
works as expected this will be finished at around midnight and the
home directories are accessible again. Update informations will be
posted here.

Server migration

Tuesday, 25. October, 07:00, the uplink of our servers will be changed
from the old network to NETng. You will discover 5 to 10 minutes
outage, after this time, everything should work as expected.

Fileserver Crash -- Again

Last night at 02:20 our file server [1]sardona, which holds the home
directories, crashed again. The situation is similar to [2]10 days
ago. Currently there is a file system check running. The connections
should be reestablishing automatically when the server is back online,
which should be around 13:00.
Update: Server back online since 12:40
