Student Workstations HPV F 7.1 offline

Microsoft Security Bulletin for August 2006

Last night [1]Microsoft has released the [2]Security Bulletin Summary
for August, 2006. There are 9 critical and 3 important update.
If Automatic Update is not activated yet, then you must visit
[3]Microsoft Update to install the Security Updates. Also updates for
MS Office are available, see Office Update at [4]Office Online.
This time again some very critical updates for all versions of Windows
and also very critical updates for MS Office (including the Mac OS X
version) are available and need to be installed. We recommend to do
the updates right now!

Network maintenance

On Wednesday, 9. August 2006 between 07:00 and 07:15 [1]ID
Kommunikation will do a software upgrade on all routers on the ETH
network. This will give an interruption of about 15 minutes for the
whole network, including Intranet and Internet access.
Do not touch any computer during this time, and everthing should
recover itself after this maintenance.
