Dear Prof..Matthias Thanks for your immediate response. But I think the program finished see the bellow lines which appear in my terminal parsing task files ... Starting task 1. Quantumnumber Sz going from -6 to 6 with increment 1 Checking if it is finished: not yet, next check in 60 seconds ( 0% done). Halted Simulation 1 This task took 574 seconds. Dear all For testing full-diagonalization I have used *ed-06-fulldiag* directory in tutorial. I used alpspython command to run the *tutorial6a.py* which by default was set for L=8 sites. Dear ALPS community I try to download and install ALPS 2.0 version in Ubuntu 10.10 by following the structure in the ALPS home page. First of all: I have downloaded its source file ==> (Source .tar.gz including the Boost library 1.45)(66MB) and unzipped it in my /home/javad directory Second: I have added the binary packages to ==> /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://www.cpht.polytechnique.fr/ubuntu maverick alps deb-src http://www.cpht.polytechnique.fr/ubuntu maverick alps Third: I have Installed required packages using Synaptic package manager: cmake-curses-gui libboost-all-dev libhdf5-serial-dev libfftw3-dev gfortran python-matplotlib python-scipy python-h5py liblapack-dev In the fourth step: I have really no idea how to deal with by the following structure: $ $HOME/src/alps2/script/cmake. sh $HOME/opt $HOME/tmp $ $HOME/src/alps2/script/hdf5.sh $HOME/opt $HOME/tmp I am totally confused. dear all, l wonder if it is possible to calculate the pair green function (<c^\dag_i1 c^\dag_i2 c_j1 c_j2>) with DMRG. the test is killed without any prompt message

dear all, I run a DMRG code to calculate the correlation function with about 50 sweeps and 500 maxstates. Some tests is killed without any prompt message, while the others are successful. I can also get the results with lower sweeps and maxstates.
