Run-time errors in simple_dmrg

Hi there, I recently compiled alps-1.3b3 (and the applications) with boost version 1.33.1. On running simple_dmrg < parm1, as in the tutorial, I get the following error EXCEPTION: bad lexical cast: source type value could not be interpreted as target I can't figure out where this exception is being thrown, has anyone experienced this error before? A question about installing the libraries.

Hi. I am trying to compile for the first time the libraries and program of ALPS, so probably this is a very silly question. I am having difficulties making the program to recognize the BLAS and LAPACK libraries. I install the BLAS and LAPACK libraries that are in http://www.netlib.org/blas/ http://www.netlib.org/lapack/ These are f77 libraries I normally use, so I am quite sure they are properly installed (at least they never were a problem until now). make install for ALPS-1.3b3

I'm having trouble with make install for ALPS-1.3b3. I'm running OS X 10.4.8 on a PowerPC Powerbook. ALPS is in HOME/alps-1.3b3. Boost (version 1.33.1) is in HOME/ alps-1.3b3/boost. Dear ALPS users, I'm trying to get started with ALPS, and I would like to ask if you have a suggestion concerning the following two test failures I encountered. I have a hunch they may be related to my particular choice of Linux/Compilers but maybe you have seen them before.
