Hi,Matthias Maybe the reason is that I am running ALPS in the windows XP operating system. So, the following question is if I program ALPS in XML, how to make it run in a windows operating system? Oh, by the way, though some function of ALPS is disable in the windows, the ED and DMRG are good, so let's just focus on these two.

Dear all, It is well known that to check a lattice graph in Linux, I shall type "printgraph". But, the question is when I program in the IDLE of python, how can I realize the same function?
??

By the way, I open the python shell, import pyalps and type "printgraph", then the error says the name 'printgraph' is not defined. So, which package of ALPS is this function in ?

You need to use the Windows command line (cmd.exe) and not the Python shell.
