You need to use the Windows command line (cmd.exe) and not the Python shell.

So, the following question is if I program ALPS in XML, how to make it run in a windows operating system? Oh, by the way, though some function of ALPS is disable in the windows, the ED and DMRG are good, so let's just focus on these two.
