Dear alps users/developers, I humbly request you to write stuffs on the ALPS webpage, especially on the "Build ALPS from source" section, in a clearer/nicer way. For linux and alps beginners, it's sometimes difficult to understand what different command lines (e.g., cmake -D Boost_ROOT_DIR:PATH...., cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX...., etc.) do and how one can really use them. Please elaborate every step so that even beginners don't spend too much time to understand what they are doing.
Thank you, Niraj
Dear Niraj,
We unfortunately cannot teach Linux and how to compile codes on Linux. For people with little or no experience we offer the MacOS and Windows binary installations and we offer the liveCD, which is a complete Linux installation with ALPS that you can install on a USB stick and boot from.

Dr. Troyer, how can I get a copy of the "liveCD" ? I have spent way too much time trying to make ALPS work my system and I still haven't given up. While I work on how to make it work, I will be extremely grateful if I can get a copy of liveCD.
Thank you, Niraj
