Dear Niraj,
We unfortunately cannot teach Linux and how to compile codes on Linux. For people with little or no experience we offer the MacOS and Windows binary installations and we offer the liveCD, which is a complete Linux installation with ALPS that you can install on a USB stick and boot from.

For linux and alps beginners, it's sometimes difficult to understand what different command lines (e.g., cmake -D Boost_ROOT_DIR:PATH...., cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX...., etc.) do and how one can really use them. Please elaborate every step so that even beginners don't spend too much time to understand what they are doing.
