continue or extend a run using directloop_sse

Hi ALPS 2.0 users I was wondering did anyone succeed in extending or continuing a run using directloop_sse in ALPS 2.0? Using job.out.xml seems to work with loop (./loop job.out.xml works), but not with dirctloop_sse (./directloop_sse job.out.xml fails).... Any help will appreciate very much! Sincerely, Kubila

TEBD tutorial "2a" (kink & XX chain)

Dear ALPS community, As my first attempt to use the TEBD code provided in alps-2.0, I ran a tutorial concerning the simulation of the XX spin chain (tutorial_2a.py), which simulates the dynamics starting from a domain wall spin configuration: http://alps.comp-phys.org/mediawiki/index.php/ALPS_2_Tutorials:TEBD-02_kink I got the following figures (attached .png files). The Wiki says "We see that the magnetization agrees very well to visual accuracy", but in the plot I obtained, it is not quite the case (very "noisy"). I played a bit with some parameters (increasing the number of time steps and the max Schmidt dimension), but it still get some ugly curves. So, I suspect that something might we wrong... Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated ! Gregoire Misguich.

RESTRICT_MEASUREMENTS[Sz] dirloop_sse alps 1.35

Hello, I would like to know if the parameter RESTRICT_MEASUREMENTS[Sz] works for dirloop_sse as indicated at http://alps.comp-phys.org/mediawiki/index.php/Documentation:dirloop_sse. I'm trying to obtain the gap for (3d), H=J( S+(i)S(i+1)- + S-(i)S+(i+1) ) +D(Sz)^2 at D > Dc by calculating energy difference from E(Mz=1) , E(Mz=0) at low temperature. Since <Sz(i)Sz(i+1)> ~ 0 , and dirloop does not measure off-diagonal correlations , I was wandering if I could use this procedure in dirloop to estimate the gap. Thanks, Marcelo Guimaraes.

Dear ALPS community, could you please let me know about the possibility of including Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya in spinmc, possibly through the presence of an off-diagonal exchange coupling constant? Extracting dates

Dear ALPS community, I met a trouble for extracting the calculated results from the XML output files. ising scheduler example

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm having a bit of a difficulty with something probably very very simple: I'm writing a simple MC code, which I just derive from the Ising scheduler example of ALPS 1.3.5. The problem appears once I try using the evaluate.C code from the same example. Even if I just take the code from an example, it throws a bad lexical cast exception. Looks like I can nail it down to a line, but the line itself is a bit of alea magic and I simply have no clue how to fix it. Hoping that somebody would spend a minute of their time and have a look at it, I'm attaching a minimal example which shows this behaviour. Here I just copy the sources from the scheduler example directory and only patch the source of evaluate.C. Below is the listing of what I'm doing.
