Inconsistent results in different ALPS installs

Dear all, we used ALPS to determine the energy of a linear AF spin chain with DM on two different computer, both running Linux, which required us to build ALPS with the provided scripts. We have used the same parameter and model used, and compared the methods exact diagonalization and DMRG. While the diagonalization results are the same up to at least the 10th digit, the DMRG result on one computer differs from all others by about 0.3%. Build error for alps-2.2.b4 on ubuntu 16.04

Dear All, I'm attempting to build alps on an ubuntu 16.04 machine (xubuntu 16.04 LTS). Help with VisTrails installation

Hello, I just started with ALPS and the Fedora OS. I am using a machine with Fedora 21 OS and I think I managed to build ALPS from alps-2.2.b4-src-with-boost.tar.gz <http://alps.comp-phys.org/static/software/releases/alps-2.2.b4-src-with-boo…>. vistrail version for nightly build

Hello, can you tell me the correct version of vistrail to link to with the nightly builds? I tried Vistrails 2.0beta, 2.1.2, 2.2.1, but never got vispython to run. String order parameters measurements

ALPS users and developers, I am wondering in ALPS how to construct the measurement of String Order Parameter in paper: 2012 New J. Phys. 14 065012. I have tried to measure the operators independently but the result was wrong. Xiao Liang

compile error, svn version 7708

Hi, I tried compiling the latest svn version of ALPS (7708) last night and I got the following compile error: */alps/applications/dmrg/dmrg/dmtk/system.h:594:48: error: lvalue required as unary ‘&’ operand s.write((const char *)&_target_weight[i], sizeof(double));* I looked it up and sounds like this line of code was written back in 2006. So that can be a compiler issue but I didn't find anything that I could relate to the problem online. I am using gcc 6.1.1. Bests, Amir
