Dear All,
I would like to know if one can change, at runtime, the directory for temporary files used by the DMRG code. /tmp is the current location, but my / partition is rather small and get filled rapidly for large system sizes. thank you for your help. (i am using alps-2.1.1-r6176)
regards,
Benoît Grémaud
Dear Benoît,
According to the documentation (https://alps.comp-phys.org/mediawiki/index.php/Documentation:full_DMRG) the parameter TEMP_DIRECTORY should do what you need.
Cheers, Michele

Actually, whatever environment variable your operating system uses will do. On Linux for example this is TMPDIR. By default we just use the path the OS uses for temporary files and you can typically choose that.
