The checkpoint folders for project tasks are saved by default in /home/user. How do I save these folders to a different location? I need to define in the model.xml file an operator of the kind Op=\sum exp(i\theta n) or Op=i*sin(\theta) where \theta may take value different from pi or pi/2. Do I need to change any parameter in alps to use such operator in alps_mps_optim. Best regards, Henry K. Otobrise, Dept. Of Physics OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria
Dear Henry,
The *out.chkp folders are created next to the input/output files. The easiest solution is to move your input files in an other place. Note that there is no need to keep the *out.chkp files, if you don’t need to measure new observables on the wave function, or maybe use it as an initial state for other simulations.
If your model uses complex numbers, you need to set the parameter COMPLEX=1. Otherwise I don’t think there is anything else missing.
Best regards, Michele
