Dear ALPS community,
as you know classical Monte Carlo in ALPS does not make use of the XML model descriptions, contrary to the quantum case. On the other hand, I would be intereseted in simulating a Heisenberg model including a Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. I could not find any comment about this possibility on the page describing spinmc : http://alps.comp-phys.org/mediawiki/index.php/Documentation:ClassicalMCSimul....
- Would it be possible to implement such a Hamiltonian?
-Secondly, from that same tutorial page it is not clear to me whether the field can be specified as a 3D vector or it is intended as a scalar in the default z-direction.
