Hi, ALPS users and developers I have two questions about calculation of entropy by using DMRG: (1)If I can calculate the entropy of system by DMRG and how to get final entropy data besides standard output in the screen? (2)What dependence of entropy on system's properties ? In other words if it is depend on gapped or gapless ,chain or quasi-1D system.
I would be very grateful for your responce.
Hi, ALPS users and developers
I am running the DMRG application of alps 2. It automaticaly writes intermediate files to /tmp on local disk. I would like to know how to make the program to write on another user-defined directory
Thanks in advance
Marcelo
Both Unix/Linux and Windows let you choose the temporary directory by setting an environment variable. To help you we'll need to know which operating system you are using.

On Linux typically TMPDIR is the variable that you need to set to change the location of temporary files.
