Dear ALPS users, I am trying to understand the generation of spin configurations for a 3D classical Heisenberg model in the ALPS spinmc simualtions. In this regard, I am interested to know that the spin configurations in ALPS for 3D systems are parametrized in the cylindrical or spherical coordinate system.
I am eagerly looking forward for your reply
I thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
with best regards Sunil
Hi,
We use Cartesian coordinates and store the x, y and z component of the spin, which is normalized to 1.
