And also one more small question. Which version of python is preferable. I got strange errors while compiling Alps2.2.0b3 on a super-computing cluster. Now straggling with the correct parallel compilation.

most of the tutorials contain Python scripts that use pyalps and can be used to learn how to use it. We require at least Python 2.6 and 2.7 should also work.
If pyalps does not compile on your supecomputer then you can still run the simulations on a supercomputer and do the evaluation on a local workstation after transferring the files.
