Dear Henry, Here I will only reply to the measurements question, since you already posted the installation problem to the ALPS-Users mailing list, which is actually the right place for it. You are lucky that you just want to measure something very similar to what a colleague of us is doing. What follows is specific to the MPS codes. You find more in our paper and in the online documentation of the input parameters http://alps.comp-phys.org/static/mps_doc/parameters.html 1) Structure factor We don’t support is directly in the MPS codes, but you can measure the density-density correlation function and then do the Fourier transform yourself. Dear Prof. Troyer, Thanks for the prompt response to my mail. Yes, as advised in Bauer, et al (2011). I built Alps in /opt/alps using the Cmake3.0 Gui. The build process did not report any error until the make test stage and the subsequent make install stage where I got the error messages I reported earlier. Challenges Installing Alps 2.2.b4 version on Ubuntu 15.04

Dear All, After waiting for the release of the Windows installer for the latest Alps 2.2.b4 version without success, I have eventually resolved to to build Alps from source on a Linux (Ubuntu 15.04) Os. However, I have some challenges that *I hope this platform can assit me with;* *1.) I am installing the Alps 2.2.b4 version using cmake-gui. Install ALPS on Windows x64

ALPS and pycharm

Dear All, i have compiled ALPS from source, and it is all ok. Now i would use it with pycharm, but the output of “import pyalps” is Could not find platform independent libraries <prefix> Could not find platform dependent libraries <exec_prefix> Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to <prefix>[:<exec_prefix>] ImportError: No module named site Can you help me? The problem of measuring stiffness in QMC with defining lattice using graph

Dear All, For the lattice in alps, we can use <LATTICES> <GRAPH>, in which can define an arbitrary lattice. However I find when I use this way, the stiffness measured in QMC is always zero. I wonder how to fix it. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Huaiming Guo

Question on collect_result

Hello, Recently I am trying to understand how the hybridization qmc solver is implemented. In line 89 of the file hybmain.cpp, I noticed that the function "collect_result" is called and the returned stuff is assigned to a variable called"results". I know "results" is an "alps::results_type<hybridization>::type" object, aka an accumulator. What I don't understand is its data structure (how elements are stored and how to access them). For example, I find the usage of "results["Sign"]", "results[order_name.str()]", etc in hybevaluate.cpp confusing, because it doesn't seem to me that the accumulator stores information in the std::map type.
