Inconsistent comment in generate_spline_matrix in the DMFT folder

Hi, The function generate_spline_matrix in fouriertransform.C in the dmft folder shows the comments as follows: // A is the matrix whose inverse defines spline_matrix // // 6 6 // 1 4 1 // 1 4 1 // A = ... // // 1 4 1 // -2 0 0 2 However, the following codes, dense_matrix A = 4*dt/6.*boost::numeric::ublas::identity_matrix<double>(Np1); for (int i=1; i<Np1-1; i++) { A(i,i-1) = dt/6.; A(i,i+1) = dt/6.; } A(0,0) = 1.; A(0, Np1-1) = 1.; A(Np1-1, 0) = -2.*dt/6.; A(Np1-1, 1) = -1.*dt/6.; A(Np1-1, Np1-2) = 1*dt/6.; A(Np1-1, Np1-1) = 2*dt/6.; the red lines will make the matrix looks like // 6 6 // 1 4 1 // 1 4 1 // A = ... // // 1 4 1 // -2 *-1* *1* 2 Is the comment correct or the code correct? ALPS 2.0.1 released

Dear ALPS users, ALPS 2.0.1 has been released. This is the version included with the ALPS paper: B. Bauer et al., J. Stat. Mech. (2011) P05001, which is available at : http://www.iop.org/EJ/abstract/1742-5468/2011/05/P05001 .Besides references to this paper, this release contains many minor bug fixes. quasi-momentum in spin chains

Hi all, I would like to use exact diagonalization to calculate the first few energy levels of a quantum spin chain, but as a function of quasi-momentum, i.e. the eigenvalue of the translation operator that shifts the lattice by one site. Is there any simple way to accomplish such a thing using ALPS? Thank you very much in advance, Johannes

Time-dependent correlation function

Hello all, I'm trying to simulate a spin glass using ALPS, and I'd like to look at the time-dependent correlation function. I can't seem to find a way to pull this out simply; is there some way to make one of the QMC codes produce this as output? Failing that, is there a way I can make one of the codes (e.g. dirloop_sse) output the state of the spins after a simulation so I can code it up myself using a temperature/imaginary time transformation? Hubbard model with double well

Dear all I test a Hubbard model with external potential (double well) using DMRG code in ALPS, but I can not get a symmetry result (density distribution) with SWEEP and MAXSTATES up to 50 and 500, respectively. It seem that I need to set more SWEEPS and STATES in calculation. But it cast to much time and is not very practical. I found that the symmetry between spin-up and spin-down atoms is not kept in my present result, i.e. the density distributions of the two kinds of atoms are different ( I have set Sz as "CONSERVED_QUANTUMNUMBERS" and Sz_total=0 in command file). I wonder if there are some ways for me to restrict the Sz in each site to 0 and obtain the correct result with a few SWEEPS ? or may be I should use a better series of STATES ? "-fPIC" error building ALPS on Lucid

Hi, I'm trying to build alps 2.0 (current nightly snapshot, with boost) on Ubuntu Lucid. I got all the dependencies and ran cmake (version 2.8.0-5), pointing to the alps and boost directories. Then I ran make and got the following error: ...
