multi-site terms support in hamiltonian

Hello, I have question about multi-site terms support in hamiltonian definition. I found some mention about that in ALPS workshop (2006) In recent wiki announced that `Extensions to more complex terms, such as 3- and 4-site terms are in preparation and will be included here as soon as the ALPS libraries support such terms.` There is possibility to include now such terms? Will arise huge problems in DMRG methods after including such milti-site terms? Thanks, Oles

Simulation of O(N) models

Hi ALPS community, first of all sorry for my English and sorry if the questions that I'm going to make are trivial but I'm not a real expert in programming and using web libraries. I'm interested in doing classical MC simulations of O(N) models. boost_filesystem causes exception

Dear Alps users, there is a bug in the boost library that is shipped with alps. On some systems, any program that is linked to boost_filesystem or alps aborts with the following error message. terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error' what(): locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid Aborted This bug is known and a patch exists [1]. I tried the patch and it worked for me. Another quick workaround is setting LC_ALL="C". I'm currently using Ubuntu 10.10. QMC Worm Algorithm / Bose-Hubbard model

Hello, the Bose-Hubbard QMC example runs nicely after i got all the installation stuff done. We are interested in the full single shot density distribution for a qmc simulation of small bose-hubbard-systems (<100sites). This would enable us to run the same evaluation code on the simulation which we use for our data. Is there a simple way to add this (or other observables like the parity projected density) to the observables which are written to the output files? Hi all In ALPS (both 1.3 and 2.0), a simple evaluation will lead to the mean values and errors (obtained by binning) for the measured observables. Is there a way to get the measured results for each sweep? Thanks in advance! Sincerely, kubila
