Title: Which detector for the future linear collider
Abstract:
A short reminder of the physics case for the future linear collider
will be given
and a special emphasis will be put on specific physics processes that guide
the design of the detector.
The mainstream of the detector will be described. A major and
challenging aspect
of the design concerns the measurements of the jets and hence the
electromagnetic
and hadronic calorimetric devices. Some of the efforts and progresses
made in the
CALICE collaboration will be presented.
