Title: Quantum Stop WatchesÂ
Abstract: Clocks can be used to build stop watches. We show under some fair assumptions that if a clock ticks sufficiently accurately, the stop watch built with this clock can be used to estimate time accurately, too. Furthermore, we provide some evidence that a stop watch can be built using an optimal quantum clock, the Quasi-Ideal clock, which outperforms classical clocks.
