Who should attend?

The idea of the Junior Meeting is to give junior members (PhD students and postdocs) of NCCR QSIT the opportunity to present topics of their field in an introductory way and to allow for exchange among the different groups within the project. Each group is encouraged to send at least one junior member to the conference.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in giving scientific presentations and getting to know other research topics and fields within QSIT. Having your own research results already is not a prerequisite for joining the conference and giving a talk.

This is also a good occasion to get to know other young QSIT researchers, especially during the afternoon activities.

Deadline 1 – Registration by March 31

 

Send an email to qsitjunior2015@gmail.com including your first and last name and the name of your supervisor.

 

Deadline 2 - Abstract Submission by May 11

 

Write a 2-page abstract using the conference macro, which should include an introductory section with a brief overview of the topic. The technical parts should be reduced to a minimum (rather refer to scientific papers).

Please note that there will be a poster session and it is highly encouraged to bring a poster.
