I have been struggling for a couple days installing ALPS to realize I cant do it on my own.

I am installing ALPS on laptop under Debian Wheezy. Please find below *CMakeError.log* attached. 

I might be wrong but It seems to me some additional flags should be used when starting *cmake*.

Also if ignore the errors and proceed to the next steps, *make test* says 4 test failed. 

I have attached the extended description on them below. Maybe it will give you some clues on the matter.
